2023 Unisa Registration Now Open

The University of South Africa (Unisa) has opened their registration period for 2023. This includes registration for undergraduate, honours, postgraduate diploma, master and doctorate students.

Unisa’s registration period for 2023 is now open for students. The University of South Africa (Unisa) is the largest open-distance learning institution in Africa.

This includes registration for undergraduate, honours, postgraduate diploma, master and doctorate students.

Here are the Unisa registration dates for 2023:

  • Undergraduate qualifications
    • Semester modules: 9 January until 3 February 2023
    • Year modules: 9 January until 20 March 2023
  • Honours degrees & postgraduate diplomas
    • Semester modules: 9 January until 3 February 2023
    • Year modules: 9 January until 31 March 2023
  • Master’s and doctoral qualifications
    • 9 January until 31 March 2023 (some exceptions apply)

Both new applicants and Unisa students applying for a new qualification may only register if they have received an offer of placement from Unisa and they have accepted the offer online.

Re-registering (returning) Unisa students must register for the 2023 academic year during the applicable registration period.

Students must take note of the following dates by which the initial minimum payment must be made in order for their registration to be finalised:

  • Undergraduate qualifications:
    • Semester modules: 28 February 2023
    • Year Modules: 20 March 2023
  • Honours degrees and Postgraduate diplomas:
    • Semester modules: 28 February 2023
    • Year Modules: 31 March 2023

Unisa offers courses in Accounting Sciences, Economics and Management Sciences, Law, Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, Education, Human Sciences, Science, Engineering and Technology.

The university has two campuses: the main campus and the Sunnyside campus. Sunnyside campus is where applications, registrations and learning centres are located.
