Job Functions

Scheduled teaching contact hours (including practical instruction, mentoring and support for Mathematics & Mathematical Literacy to NCV level 2-4 students
•Provide academic support to students to ensure improvement in Mathematical Literacy, Life Orientation Computers and Science results
•Teach Foundational Science to PLP students
•Applying quality assurance
•Keeping abreast of new developments/ latest trends
•Marking, assessing, invigilating, extra mural activities, setting assessments
•All relevant administrative duties associated with the various programmes
•Relief teaching
•Extra and co-curricular duties
•Administration (Class registers, lesson plans)
•Supervisory & management functions
•Professional duties (Meetings, workshops, official college functions, seminars, conferences, etc)
•Invigilating
•Planning, preparation and evaluation
•Active involvement in broader curriculum and campus-related activities
False Bay TVET College Requirements
•A recognised academic qualification (at least REQF 13: matric + 3 years), with Mathematics taken to at least 2nd year level
•A recognised teaching qualification for teaching at FET/Grade 10 – 12 level
•Experience teaching Mathematics at Grade 10 – 12 level/NQF level 2-4
•Computer literate
•Good administrative and organisational skills

•Experience teaching Mathematics at a TVET college
•SACE registered
