The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) said applicants that were not approved for social relief of distress (SRD) grant and applied for reconsideration would have to wait even longer to learn their fate, on Wednesday, 24 November.
SASSA R350 GRANT RECONSIDERATION
In a brief statement on Wednesday, the agency said SASSA R350 grant reconsideration is delayed and advised clients who reapplied for the grant after being rejected about the wait.
The agency did not offer any explanation for the delay but said it is “currently working to resolve [the issue].”
“If a client’s application is declined, the client has the right to request reconsideration within 30 days of receiving the declined reason.
“Clients must request reconsideration for each month the application is declined,” said SASSA earlier this year.
Applications can be made via the Agency’s website – https://srd.sassa.gov.za/sc19/reconsideration. If applicants have trouble submitting the application, they should call 0800 601 011 for assistance.
