Sassa has announced that the wait will soon be over for some applicants since many applicants for the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant have been waiting for feedback since submitting their applications for reconsideration. 
If the outcome of your application is successful, the South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) has confirmed that you will be able to access their funds.
In an announcement, the Agency confirmed:
Reconsiderations from August 2021 are expected to be processed by the end of June 2022 and payments will then happen thereafter.
If you have not yet received the outcome of your application, you are advised to track the outcome of the application.
According to Sassa, applicants who have already applied for reconsideration must apply for reconsideration for every month their application was declined.
Should your reconsideration application be declined, Sassa has said applicants have the right to apply for reconsideration.
To submit a reconsideration request, you may have the option of doing it by visiting the SRD Website: https://srd.sassa.gov.za, alternatively doing so telephonically by calling Sassa officials to lodge a reconsideration on your behalf on 0800 60 10 11 (select option 3).
I have applied for srd grant it says declined reason uif but I did receive my uif as a once off payment in december2020
