How long will the SRD grant last?

ANSWER:

For this new iteration, The South African Government has allocated R26. 7billion which is inclusive of administrative costs borne by SASSA, and this is for a period of 8 months with effect from August 2021 until March 2022.

During SONA 2022 the President Said:

Mindful of the proven benefits of the grant, we will extend the R350 SRD grant for one further year until the end of March 2023.
