The 2022 academic year is underway at many of South Africa’s universities and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) colleges.
The cost of tertiary education serves as a barrier to many prospective students in South Africa and many won’t be able to register for the 2022 academic year without bursaries and scholarships.
An estimated 906 000 funding applications were reached by the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) during the 2022 application period.
However some of these students do not know their funding status yet. This could prevent many of them from registering for the current academic year.
Here’s how to check Your NSFAS Application Status
Step 1: Login on the myNSFAS student portal here
Step 2: Enter your username and password, then click SIGN IN!
Step 3: Click on Track Funding Progress.
NSFAS has informed applicants that their portal is continuously updated. They are encouraging students to visit the portal daily to check their results.
If your application for funding was rejected by NSFAS, you can appeal. Click Here To Learn How.
