The South African Security Agency (Sassa) bears the responsibility of disbursing grants to financially vulnerable South Africans on a monthly basis. These are the grant payment dates for April 2022:

• 01 APRIL: 081 & 086
• 04 APRIL: NO PAYMENT
• 05 APRIL: NO PAYMENT
• 06 APRIL: NO PAYMENT
• 07 APRIL: NO PAYMENT
• 08 APRIL: 082 & 087
• 11 APRIL: 083 & 088
• 12 APRIL: 084 & 089
• 13 APRIL: 080 & 085
• 14 APRIL: 081 & 086
• 15 APRIL: NO PAYMENT
• 18 APRIL: NO PAYMENT
• 19 APRIL: 082 & 087
• 20 APRIL: 083 & 088
• 21 APRIL: 084 & 089
• 22 APRIL: 080 & 085
• 25 APRIL: 081 & 086
• 26 APRIL: 082 & 087
• 27 APRIL: NO PAYMENT
• 28 APRIL: 083 & 088
• 29 APRIL: 084 & 089

The above dates are arranged according to the last three digits of a beneficiary’s ID number. Beneficiaries are also advised to wait for an SMS informing them their grant is ready for collection.

Sassa has stated that you do not need to fetch your grant on the first day and that the money will always be there for you to collect.
