Learners who wrote the NSC in 2021 and years prior, but failed to achieve the intended outcome were eligible for the rewrite. People over 21 who had successfully completed at least Grade 7 or Level 4 also qualified as candidates for the Senior Certificate (SC) May/June rewrite.
Candidates for the SC may simply register for the May/June 2023 rewrite in October 2022. Since the combination of credits and results is not automatic, candidates must apply for this service at the offices of their education district.
