The Social Relief of Distress (SRD) R350 grant was introduced to assist unemployed individuals during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The impact of the SRD grant was studied by the Department of Social Development and it was determined that 90% of the SRD grant recipients used their money to purchase food. Food was the most frequently purchased product followed by electricity.
The SRD grant has no fixed payment date. However, the last three digits of your ID number determine on which days you may collect your SRD grant from the post office.
Here are the R350 grant payment dates for next week.
28 March: ID numbers ending in 082 & 087
29 March: ID numbers ending in 083 & 088
30 March: ID numbers ending in 084 & 089
31 March: ID numbers ending in 080 & 085
1 April: ID numbers ending in 081 & 086
