Registrations for the 2022 academic year at Vaal University Of Technology are now open, so if you have applied and have been accepted to study at the university. Here is what you need to know.
The registration portal for new and returning students at Vaal University to register their courses for the semester at the diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate level is now open.
First-year registrations for all faculties were initially meant to start on 24 January 2022 and end on 29 January 2022. Returning student registrations for all faculties were meant to start on 27 January 2022 and end on 5 February 2022.
However, following a circular announced received from NSFAS on Tuesday, 25 January 2022 the University Management decided to postpone the commencement of registrations whilst awaiting funding decisions.
This means senior registrations will now start on Monday, 31 January 2022 and first-year registrations will commence on Thursday, 27 January 2022 until 5 February 2022.
All self-funded students are reminded to note that they are required to pay a minimum fee of R2 200 prior to registration. This also applies to all non-NSFAS funded students.
The university has further stated that classes will start on 7 February 2022 and that prospective students will be notified of any further changes in schedule.
Students have also been encouraged to refer to the university’s registration guideline for any additional information relating to outstanding debt and registration fees.
