The University of South Africa has extended the closing date for 2022 bursary applications for Honours, Masters and Doctoral qualifications.
The University of South Africa (Unisa) offers bursaries for postgraduate studies and have announced that the closing date for Honours, Masters and Doctoral 2022 bursary applications has been extended to 11 February 2022.
This means that students who have applied to study at Unisa for the first semester of 2022 should submit their applications before this closing date.
The initial closing date was 31 January 2022 but the university has decided to extend it.
These bursaries aim to financially assist South African Unisa alumni students with their Unisa tuition fees, thus enabling them to register and complete their qualifications.
Unisa has specified that only online applications submitted via the myUnisa link will be considered.

If you still need help after checking the application guide then you should contact the Postgraduate Bursaries Administration via email at [email protected].
When applying students must make use of their myLife email account as application outcomes will only be communicated to them via this email account.
Students are selected for bursaries based on their eligibility, academic performance, and the availability of funds.
Unisa has also reminded students who are funded by the (National Student Financial Aid Scheme) Nsfas to ensure they are temporarily registered no later than the 11 February deadline. This will allow the university to activate their registration when they receive funding for Nsfas.
