The South African Social Security Agency has urged Social Relief of Distress grant recipients to note they will get a single day to collect their grant payments throughout the rest of the coming week. Here is the reason why, as well as other relevant grant payment dates.
The week might be drawing to a close but the month of April has just begun, and if you’re an R350 recipient, it is important for you to know that there will only be one grant payment next week.
This is in part due to the fact that the South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) will be in the process of dispersing other social grants, namely the Older Persons Grant, Disability Grant, and Children’s Grants.
According to Sassa’s Social Relief of Distress grant payment schedule, the only R350 grant that will be paid out next week is on Friday 08 April to grant recipients with the following last three digits of their ID numbers 082 & 087.

Sassa does not process SRD grant payments at a time when other social grants are being paid out. For those looking to collect their Older Persons, Disability, and Children’s Grants next week, their grant collection dates are arranged in the following order:
- Older Persons Grant – Monday 4 April
- Disability Grant – Tuesday 5 April
- Children’s Grants – Wednesday 6 April
Grant recipients are also advised not to go collect their R350 grants before they receive an SMS confirming that it is ready.
Should you be receiving your R350 grant through a bank account, it’s good to know that there is no fixed payment date, as Sassa has assured beneficiaries that they will receive the money that they are owed.
It is also well worth noting that Sassa does not pay out the R350 grant during the period in which other grants are being paid out.
