Matriculants around the country have received their National Senior Certificate (NSC) results after the 2021 Matric exam season.
The matric exam results received by learners around the county has an influence on the next step of many of their lives. Depending on the marks you achieve, you may qualify to study at a tertiary education institution while others may want to enter the working world.
It is therefore important to have access to your results so you can decide on what to do during your post-high school career.
However not all the matriculants have received their results. Results are withheld when the department of education has detected some irregularities with your examination results.
What To Do If Your Results Are Being Withheld
1. Contact your school or the closest district office to request the reason why your results are being withheld.
2. Appeal in writing if your results are being withheld.
3. Contact the relevant provincial official to guide you on examination-related enquiries.
Last week, examination regulatory body, Umalusi approved the release of the class of 2021’s grade 12 exam results. However, the body did detect a number of irregularities.
The body said, ‘Umalusi notes incidents of unauthorised/early access to question papers detected at some of the examination centres in KwaZulu Natal and Gauteng. Specifically, Life Sciences and Agricultural Sciences papers were the affected subjects in those centres’.
