The application opening date for the NSFAS 2022 is yet to be announced. Therefore all those who are yearning to know when the application will start will have to be a bit more patient.
Since 2019, NSFAS application usually begins in the month of September and runs through to October/November.
For instance, 2019 NSFAS application was officially opened on 3rd September 2018. Also, the 2020 opening dates were from 1st September 2019 to 30th November 2019.
The most recent nsfas application for 2021 was from 3rd August to 1st December 2021.
It is clear from the above chronology that NSFAS applications usually start in August or September the previous year.
But, with barely 7 days to close the month of September 2021, but no official announcement has been made for the opening of 2022 nsfas applications.
But according to a Facebook post but the NSFAS, potential applicants should calm down as they prepare to announce officially the opening date of the NSFAS 2022 applications.
They advised such applicants to be wary of any portal that claims that application has started and not to give out their personal information to strangers online who may pretend to be officials of the nsfas.

NSFAS announced 2022 Applications
NSFAS recently opened what they called “Second Chance” applications fir those who could not apply for the fund during the main 2021 registration period and has recently ended.
What has accounted for this year’s application delay is still not yet known but it might be because of funding due to the effects of the global pandemic.
They have urged would be applicants to follow them online through their website or social media networks specifically Twitter and Facebook for current events and updates officially released from their outfit.
