The big day has finally arrived for those looking to have another chance at attaining their National Senior Certificate (NSC). The Basic Education Department has announced the start of the 2022 May/June NSC exams. Here are more detail about the exams as well as the official timetable.
The Department of Basic Education has recently announced that the May/June National Senior exams will officially start today.
In a social media post shared on Monday morning the Department’s spokesperson, Elijah Mhlanga revealed that over 290 680 candidates will sit to write the mid-year NSC exam.
The qualifying and participating candidates in question, according to the department, are those who wrote the 2021 final matric exam as well as those who wrote in previous years but did not attain the desired results for the NSC.
The 2022 May/June Exam, which will span over the course of seven weeks and include matric writers from the previous school year, is due to conclude on Friday 23 June.
