Mining Qualification Authority Bursary Scheme: The MQA would like to invite learners who intend on studying towards a career within the Mining and Minerals Sector, to apply for an MQA bursary. The MQA Bursary Scheme is open to qualifying learners who are currently in Grade 12 and who intend to study during 2021 or current students who are already studying towards a certificate, diploma, degree at a public university, university of technology, or a TVET College.Closing date: 18 October 2020 for 2021 intake.

Department Of Labour Bursaries: Students with disabilities automatically qualify for this bursaries. Apply directly at the department of labour.

Dean Commendation Awards: this award are offered to the Mangosuthu University Of Technology Students who Score an aggregate of 75% or above in their exam. For more info visit here.

 National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS): The scheme was established by the government to assist academically deserving students registered at tertiary institutions. Students who qualify for NSFAS receive loans of up to 40% which may be converted into a bursary at the end of the academic year should all courses be passed. Bursary Refers to grant of funds that is offered as an aid to financially needy and academically deserving students.
