There has been a demand for teachers in South Africa and all around the world. Because of this, many Universities in South Africa are offering PGCE qualifications to help meet the demand for teachers in South Africa.
The PGCE qualification provides professional preparation for teaching Senior Phase (SP) grades 7-9 and Further Education and Training (FET, grades 10-12) phases of schooling.
To qualify for a PGCE you will need to have completed an undergraduate degree which includes at least 2 school related subjects. You undergrad school related subjects and your postgrad school related subjects need to be the same in order to able to teach them.
