University of KwaZulu-Natal abbreviated as UKZN is multi-campus. The university was formed by the merger of the University of Natal and the University of Durban(Westville), in 2004. The University ranks among the Top 400 universities in the World according to World University Ranking.

Step 1:  Get your application form.

First-time applicants will need to apply through the Central Applications Office (CAO). You’ll be able to apply through UKZN’s online application portal.

If you’re applying via hard copy, you can post your application to:

Step 2:  Complete your application form in full.

Step 3:  Attach all supporting documents.

Step 4:  Complete a student accommodation form.  This is part of the application process.

Application Fees

  • Application fee payable to CAO R250 on-time and R470 for late applications
